Vehicle Transportation Scam

Hi,
I recently purchased a vehicle from a Toyota dealership. I dealt directly with the dealership and my bank vetted them. This part was 100% legitimate.
I hired a transportation company as the vehicle needed to be shipped coast to coast. The vehicle was picked up and confirmed by the dealership to be released to the individual I was told would pick it up. The pick-up process was delayed a few days, but nothing over the top.
Wednesday of last week was the scheduled delivery date. This got pushed to Thursday. Thursday evening comes, and the delivery gets pushed to Friday. Friday comes, and the delivery pushes to Saturday. Here we are Sunday, and the transportation company has gone silent. The driver and broker blocked my number.
I ended up calling the sheriff, which indicated it was a civil matter due to the contract I signed. Is says, "the delivery can take up to two weeks." They said call the sheriff department back in a week and they'd check with the AG to see if they pursue a criminal case, but I would likely need to take them to court.
The issue is, I think they stole my vehicle with no intention of delivering. I also think they aren't the company they were representing. I think it was all a lie! There are some red flags that I am noticing now. What are my options? I truly believe vehicle is gone and without a police report, my insurance isn't going to do anything. We are talking being out $60,000. Please help.
