Uncle Passed Away With No Will Nor Wife And Kids, But 18 Cousins Falsely Claimed My Inheritance And Property.

(NC) l'm not sure if I even have a case, or if I should even persue any legal action by now. My grandparents passed away in 1994. And within that year, all deeds were turned over to their only children (dad & uncle). A few years later, my father passed away & then my uncle, leaving the only immediate family members: my sister, nephew and myself. Their cousins claimed that there were no other next of kin. The clerk of court told us that six cousin names are now sharing the properties in some way, because he had no will and my dad had no kids either. So she's not sure if a judge will give back the properties, but he could make them pay us the money if they are renting out the properties, but she's not sure considering they lied. I don't know what type of lawyer to contact, or even if there is a case because of how long it's been. What should I do?
