Took My Truck To A Ford Dealership, Their Technician Cracked My Block (motor).

I took my truck to a ford dealership May 1st, they were supposed to replace the coolant connections and while doing that the technician cracked my motor installing a fitting (sounds like they put too much torque on it maybe) anyways. Motor is done. The truck has high mileage, 208k but has been taken care of. I have a 6 inch lift, rims, offroad tires, aftermarket stereo, back up camera, after market speakers, two subs, ceramic window tint, all less than 4 years old on the truck. I just did the lift less than 2 months ago and the wheels and tires last year around this time. Truck is paid off. But the company was quiet and never gave me any updates - unless I reached out first.
Tuesday they told me about the cracked motor. They said they would replace it, and that they filed an insurance claim, yesterday (after hearing nothing from them) I hit them up and I was told the insurance wanted to total out the Truck (3.5L v6) 2014 Ford F150 XLT 2x4
I'm supposed to be hearing from the insurance company this monday or tuesday.
I've file a complaint with the better business bureau.
I don't know what else to do from hear. I know they are gonna try to low ball me and leave me with nothing except a few thousand (which wouldn't get me a used truck with that mileage nor those items)
Do I file a small claims case? Im in california.
Do I call and speak with the owners? They are a dealership, and a motor (remanufactured) should be like 3-4k installing it shouldnt cost them damn near anything since they are an auto repair shop.
