Sent A Private Conversation Between My Ex And Me To Her New Bf, Now She Has Called The Cops For Violation Of Privacy.

I have been having a shitty past few weeks. On April 19th 2024 I caught my girlfriend at a park down the road with another man, making out on a bench. She has a daughter that I helped raise for about 5-6 years. From the ages of 11-17. Once I caught her I told she and her daughter had to go. I found out that the dude she was with was an old classmate of mine and a friend gave me his number. I texted him warning him that I had been with her the whole time for the last 7 years and that she had been intimate with me literally 20 minutes before discovering them at the park. He didn't respond but then I ran into him and her walking around target 4 or 5 days after I had discovered them. I had a mental breakdown. My life had gone from having a kid, cats, and basically a wife for the last 7 years and in the course of a night I had lost all of those things and she had completely moved on already.

This caused me to spiral and so I sent him a picture of her and me sexting in which she said she loved me but also revealed her nipples. In hindsight that was a terrible choice but I wanted him to understand that she was literally fooling around with me and him. I never heard anything from him or her so I hunkered down and kept cleaning my house. She for the last few weeks has come to get stuff but since its been almost a three weeks I told her I would move everything left to a storage unit and she could just come and go from there. I need to reclaim my space. The other day however, I got a call from a police office to come down to the station, and sat down with them and they told me that my ex has filed a report stating I had shared a private photo of her with someone she didn't consent to. I genuinely responded that I had done that to the police but I hadn't really known that it was a crime. It was sleazy but I never thought it would be a full fledged crime. I talked to a lawyer and he told me to wait to see what the prosecutors decide to charge with but I am trying to prepare myself for the worst. Does anyone have any advice?

TLDR; Caught my gf cheating and sent a picture of my now ex gf to her current bf of us sexting proving she was intimate with both of us. Have since been reported to the police and am waiting for the prosecutors office to process and charge. Any advice.
