Possession Bc Of Husband?

My husband is constantly taking my car and has left marijuana vapes in my car and he swears he isn’t vaping in the car but he comes home and I can tell he is stoned and my car will smell of marijuana. Luckily he is just vaping in the car so it doesn’t reek but it really pisses me off because it is dangerous, illegal and it is MY CAR! I know a lot of people are going to say “don’t let him take your car” or “leave him” but those aren’t really options. He is quite forceful when he wants something so it isn’t really possible to stop him from taking my car whenever he wants.

Like with most potheads, he doesn’t take anything seriously and is really immature and irresponsible when it comes to his drugs and alcohol. I have harped on him about his recklessness with alcohol and marijuana for the past fifteen years. He just refuses to grow up and be responsible . I have almost left him many times due to his addictions. I know he is an addict and an alcoholic. He just quit drinking two months ago because he went into liver failure but I know he will never give everything up. He has even stolen my medication even though I really, really needed it.

Here’s where I am most concerned about the legality of all of this. I take prescription pain medication (legally and justly) because I have EDS and Myofascial pain syndrome along with arthritis, herniated discs, scoliosis, etc… I am scared that I am going to get in an accident (I’ve been rear ended twice in the last two years-last time totaled my car so not a far fetched fear) or I’m going to get pulled over and get charged with possession.

It always catches me by surprise when it happens even though I do a quick run through before driving my car anywhere. For instance, I was driving this evening and went to put my drink in the drink holder and noticed something was blocking the cup. Turns out it was a marijuana vape just sitting there in the cup holder. It was dark so I didn’t know it was there so if I were pulled over, I wouldn’t have known to hide it. If I had been pulled over, a cop with a flashlight sure would have spotted it though!

I plan on showing this information to my husband in the hopes that he will be less reckless with me. Here are my questions: Will I still be eligible for prescription pain medication if my idiot husband gets me arrested?

If I do get arrested because of him, will he be able to tell them it was his and take responsibility for his screw up? If he won’t take responsibility, can I tell them? I’m sure it wouldn’t be enough as it is my word against his but is there something I could do to help it be enough?

We live in Oklahoma and I have tried looking everywhere to get this information so that maybe, just maybe he will take me seriously. If I lose my prescriptions, I will not be long for this world. I take the bare minimum in order to maintain but I cannot go through the rest of my life in that amount of pain. It is bad enough as it is. Sorry this is long but I wanted to make sure I got the pertinent information in there and I’m really concerned. I never had this problem until a few months ago when I got my SUV.
