Opposing Attorney Lied About Me In Court

This took place in Oregon and it was a civil case. There is email correspondence somewhere early on in the case between the opposing attorney and ours who said he would basically try and ruin my reputation as a tenant. He lied about supposed illegal activity being committed that I did not do but since it was not what the case revolved around and since it was not a criminal case there was no need for our side to challenge it I guess but my lawyer really sucked. He didn’t seem to know law and got caught up on issues that were more or less irrelevant and we lost the case. Is there any recourse or can I sue a lawyer for lying about me and painting this horrible picture for the jury? If not, can the person who owes on a judgment reach out to the attorney we have to pay fees to and negotiate? I have never been in this situation before and I will never be able to pay the fees. The legal fees probably cannot be discharged in bankruptcy so I don’t think I’ll go the route. I’m just out of options and cannot afford to appeal because I’m broke. Thanks!
