No Judge Assigned After Case Downgraded To Misdemeanor

I was arrested in Monroe County Florida last Sept for a misdemeanor trespassing and felony drug charge (I live out of state). The drug charge came from a Delta-9 edible I had in my pocket that the cops labeled as MDMA. The lab drug test results came back on Mar 11 as Delta-9, which is legal in Florida, and the drug charge was dropped all together and my case moved from the felony court to the misdemeanor court meaning it will get a new judge, prosecutor, and pre-trial officer. It has been 5 weeks since the case moved courts and I still have not been assigned a new judge or prosecutor (I do have a new pre-trial officer) and my lawyer is wringing his hands about not having a judge or docket sounding saying, "it takes time", but I'm feeling lost in the system with a case that's stalled out entirely. He said he contacted the circuit court almost two weeks ago, but there there have been no updates since. What's my next move here? I feel like asking my lawyer for another update isn't going to yield anything new and it sounds like he's always really annoyed about me asking for updates.
Additionally, the whole time my case has been in limbo I'm still on the hook for monthly drug tests as a result of the drug charge, which has been dropped. The lawyer says the tests were part of the conditions to be released from jail and one judge doesn't like to 'overrule' another by removing conditions like drug testing. Is that normal process?
