Neighbor's Kids Keep Hitting My Car With A Basketball

Card image cap

I park my car on my private driveway. The neighbor's house is roughly 8 feet from my driveway, and they installed a basketball hoop. The kids' basketballs now constantly hit my car. I have video recording on my driveway which documents every incident. I have tried to talk to my neighbors asking if they would install some netting to prevent the basketballs from hitting my car, but they were not interested.

I am unable to park elsewhere, and I am unsure what to do should my car become damaged in any way. What options do I have legally to seek payment for damaged property? The kids that play at the basketball hoop are not always my neighbor's kids since they allow almost anyone to use the hoop at all times. Is my neighbor at fault for the damage if it is caused by kids that are not his own, or only for his kids' damage?
