My Mom Wants To Use My Address So My Sister Can Go To A School In My County.

My mother wants to use my address so that my sister can go to a school in my county. My wife and I just moved here in September. I’m 24, my wife is 22. Located in Watkinsville, GA. We rent, we do not own. With the limited research I’ve done, I’m really not comfortable with this. Does anyone know what the repercussions could be? Am I the asshole for not being comfortable with this?

My mom: Let me know when it's a good time to talk about possibly adding my name to your lease. It's just a formality, but it will involve me talking to your landlord (or property manager) and putting your water bill in my name. We can sit down & chat about it when y'all have some time this week. l love you!

Me: Oh, I didn't know that's what you wanted to do...

My mom: _______ said that if I was added and put your water bill in my name, that _______ should be able to enroll at _______. If y'all aren't comfortable with that, or if your landlord isn't good with it, we'll need to figure out something else.

Update: I’ve already told her that we’re not comfortable with this and will not assist. I told her absolutely not, we will not help with this. I explained why with a number of reasons, and she listened well. She validated my feelings and said that she understands. I’m going to help her look into other (better and legal) options. Thank you everyone for your advice, it’s exactly what I was looking for.
