My Husbands Baby Mama Drama
Hi all looking for practical advice. My husband’s child’s mother lives in a different state and has repeatedly sent messages to my husband that feel hostile and threatening toward me. Examples include threats to call police or child protective services and statements that suggest she could encourage the child to make allegations. I haven’t harmed the child or done anything that would justify these claims, but the tone has escalated and I’m worried about being falsely accused or harassed.
I live locally and the messages were received here. I’m thinking of filing a police report for harassment and documentation. Would that be helpful? Would it also be worth trying to get something on record in her county/state, and if so, how would I do that from another state? I’m mainly looking to protect myself and my child and to create a clear paper trail in case anything happens. Any legal steps, resources, or personal experiences you can share would be really helpful — especially things that worked in interstate situations.
