Mom Opened A Phone Bill In My Name And I Have Debt Collectors Reaching Out

location: Indiana I cut off my entire family a few years back because they were extremely toxic. About a year ago I checked my credit and noticed a $1400 Verizon bill. I called and they gave me the email address on the account, and I recognized it as my mom's. I was gonna reach out and give her the chance to pay it, but the next time i checked out said the account was closed

Earlier today I got a call from a debt collector. I made a fraud claim and reached out to my mom asking her to pay it off so I didn't have to go through the hassle of a police report. She claims to have messages proving that I agreed to split it with her. I asked her to send them and she just responded with a guilt trip about how she's been unable to work.

During the time it was opened, I was getting on new medication and wasn't very mentally stable, so I'm a bit worried that I somehow did agree to it, but i really don't remember. I deleted all of our texts when I cut her off. She says she'll pay her half IF she gets the money.

I built a life for myself with absolutely no help. I'm just now getting my footing and I feel like it's all over now. I really don't know what to do. What if I file a report and she does have texts where I agreed to it? Or if I can't prove that I didn't.
