Looking For Divorce Lawyer Advice

(obligatory throwaway for obvious reasons)
hello all! i am looking to divorce my husband and leave a DV situation. i have all the information for filing a DVO, i have plans in place and know how to ensure mine and my child's safety for the big leave. i'm just needing some guidance on the lawyer part.
i do not have a ton of money to keep throwing at consultation appointments and the lawyer i've been working with hasn't responded to me in almost 2 weeks. they are also only licensed in the state i currently live in, and where i plan to go when i leave (my support system) is located in a neighboring state.
my question is: is it necessary to find a lawyer that is licensed in both states? would it be a waste of time trying to find one that is or should i just focus on finding a lawyer who's licensed in my destination state and specializes in DV?
i know i might get some questions about what states i'm coming from/going to, but im not super comfortable with sharing that publicly given the nature of this situation. please do let me know if there's actual specificities between states that would require that information to be shared in order to provide a good answer.
thank you in advance!
