Is This Enough Evidence For A Civil Lawsuit
My ex boyfriend was living with me for a couple of months and while I was on vacation his ex gf came to my house where a fight took place and Multiple items were destroyed. I found out shortly after the guy was still in contact with the girl. Dude refused to come to court when I was trying to get a peace order, acted like he did not know info on the girl, and refused to help with the trial I had coming up. DESPITE my neighbor calling the police and speaking to her that night and my neighbor taking her home and hearing the story, the district attorney still said it’s not enough evidence because the ex refuses to be of any participation in the court. Only reason why I didn’t press charges on him was because he was intimidating me when everything was going on and we worked together. My mental health couldn’t take it and my initial account was based on what he and my neighbor told me. So I would like to do a civil suit. I have voice notes of him saying he put his hands on her, explaining how items were damaged and everything. Is that info feasible for a civil against them both?
