I Worked 6 Days At An Agreed Upon $250/day And Now Am Being Told I Made Only $100 Per Day. P.s. My Boss Is My Dad. Wtf Do I Do?

I was put in a tough situation when I lost my job, and decided to do something I normally don’t, ask for help from family. My dad owns his own business and offered to take me on and do 2 days worth of work a week for $250/day or, $500 per week. He said that was all he could afford to pay me but that he wanted to help. After working three days in one week he informs me he’ll only be able to pay me $100 for that week since he wouldn’t get paid until a week or two later. Eventually he told me (without me asking) he’d pay me $200 instead for that week. Then, he’d pay me $200 the next week. I agreed since I’ve worked before and know pay periods can mess up pay the first few weeks.

On my 6th day of work, or my first day of my third week, he informed me that he’d only be able to pay me $350 per week or $175/day. I told him I’d be unable to pay my bills if he paid me that little, so he eventually came up with $400 per week. I said I’d need to think on it and instead he put out his hand to shake. I shook it and went home, debating what to do. The night before my second day of work that week I text him to let him know I’d no longer be working for him. He then sent multiple paragraphs saying he only owed me $600 for 6 days of work…. I am confused and let him know, he owes me $1000. And that’s with me knocking off $100 since he paid me early the first week. He is pretending as though we never agreed to $250/day and it’s starting to make me think he’s not going to pay me any more than $200. Which is what he said he’d do.. next Friday. Even though I wasn’t paid at all this Friday. I feel scammed and confused. Please any help?

Edit: he has now stated he won’t be paying at all. Do I have any legal recourse here?
