Homeowner Denying Us (3 Men) A Rental Because “it's My Sexist Opinion That Gals Are Cleaner Than Guys...” Ca
Applying for an apartment in LA with 2 friends. We sent our applications, and then had to email the property manager a personal introduction.
Property manager forwarded these introductions to the homeowner, who accidentally hit reply all and said “These guys sound like really nice guys, but neither of them has a job job, and I guess it's my sexist opinion that gals are cleaner than guys...”
We are all mid-20s men who are self employed and making more than enough to rent the apartment. Clean rental history. Great credit scores.
Seems pretty blatant to me, and we have it in writing. Is it worth contacting an attorney or HUD?
