Found Notes In Wife’s Car… How Quickly Do I Need To Get A Lawyer?
(VA) Wife has been talking about separating for a few months after being caught cheating last year. I’ve been very much against that and trying to reconcile as we have a 2 y.o., two dogs, and a house together. Tonight she asked me to get something from her car and I found notes scribbled on a notepad. The first line reads “separate maintenance like divorce but not official” and “prior to 12 months.” The rest of the page has notes about creating new bank accounts and separating from our shared accounts. I have not confronted her about it but how screwed am I? I have not signed anything about separation or divorce. Also, what else can I do to protect myself and my child?
