Forced Religion In The Workplace (utah)

Card image cap

One of my very good friends took a job out in Utah. She was hired at a Mormon company though she is not Mormon. She has made it very clear that she is not Mormon nor does she want to be Mormon. Every Monday when she goes to work they are sat down for a lecture and prayer company wide. She is forced to participate. There is no option to sit out of it because their reasoning is “we discuss work”. So she is forced to sit there for hours and listen to scripture and “the word of god”. They’ve even told her that she needs to learn about Mormonism for the business. Side note: the business has nothing to with religion, they sell work out products. She is also forced to wear clothing items that say trust in god or something about god to their work events which makes her uncomfortable. Is this normal in Utah? Are you allowed to force your religion upon other people on the work place in Utah?
