Fbi Agents Showed Up At My Home Then Current Job To Interview Me About My Previous Job In The Defense Industry That I Was Fired From. Am I Overthinking This?
I was fired for verbal conflict with a superior in my defense I was burned out and had no drive to do my job it just wasn't fufilling to me and the guy was being an asshole. I am now in a job that doesn't require a clearance and I absolutely love it and all my coworkers. Well today I got a visit from 2 FBI agents stating that they needed to do an exit interview and that this is a routine thing. That was until they started asking very specific questions about things I worked on including secure room construction and electronic device usage in said rooms aka taking photos of room construction such as hvac and power conduits to submit to the DCSA of which I used my own cellphone to take as I hadn't been given a company cellphone. This activity was verbally authorized by our ISSM and then the photos were reviewed by the ISSM, let me add no classified material was out in the rooms during the activities the photos are literally conduit pipe, smoke alarms, and ethernet cables. One of the rooms didn't even have drywall at the time. I then emailed the photos to my work email from my device so that they could be organized and submitted to the DCSA. Am I overthinking it or does this situation seem weird as hell?
