Sony Has Removed My Access To Purchased Digital Movies

So I just got off a chat with Sony customer support, I had been having trouble accessing my previously purchased movies through my PSN account. While I knew in 2021 they decided to stop letting people buy shows and movies, what I didn't know is in 2024 they would remove my ability to access my purchased movies. And because as the customer service person put it, I "previously consumed" them, I wasn't eligible for a refund on any of my literally 100 movies. I'm a little bit upset, and at a loss as to what to do. I tried to hop on another chat because they ended it once they realized I wanted to escalate to a manager of some kind. To be clear, I thought I was purchasing them, not renting them for an undisclosed amount of time.
Also, below is a statement that can still be found on their website clearly stating you can still access your content on your PS5.
"Thank you for using the PS Video Application on your Blu-ray player or smart TV. As of July 18th, 2023, this feature is no longer supported and video content is no longer accessible on this device; however, you can continue to access your content on your PS5 or PS4." (https://www.playstation.com/en-us/playstation-video/unsupported/)
Do I have literally any options or is this a buyer beware scenario? Lesson learned, buy physical but it would be great to get my money back if that is at all possible. Also I live in Colorado if that matters.
