Evgo Charger Fried My Cars Charging Port

Card image cap

Location: Northern California. Something went wrong with the charger a couple days ago at EVGo when I went to charge my leased vehicle. It started charging for less then a minute then stopped and wouldn’t release off my charging port. Like it was still locked on there. Talked to their support and they tried to reboot but didn’t work. Was stuck there for 3 hours till a technician finally showed up. He had to use all his strength to rip the charger off my cars charging port. He said there was ARC damage and he’s seen it before. Basically melted and fused the charger to my charging receiving port. Ripped part of the port off with it. It’s kind of melted and mangled and won’t charge now. It’s really the bottom pin so the slow charger will work (top part will still ok), but fast charger that uses all pins won’t go on. Car is leased and not sure what to do. For a ticket number from EVgo about the incident and told them about the damage. Should I just bring back to dealer and tell them what happened? Don’t want them to screw me over since it’s a lease. Ot do I call my insurance first? Any ideas on what to do next?
