Doctor Recommended Procedure That Rendered Me Paralyzed. I Think He Was Drunk

Card image cap

I have a serious health condition and was treated at one of the most prestigious specialty clinics in the world. The doctor is legendary but over the course of the last year he gradually changed and eventually could barely put a sentence together. During one of those appointments he recommended a treatment that completely eliminated the use of my legs. About 3 months later he became so out of it that the clinic closed abruptly for unknown reasons. I assumed it was dementia because he didn’t even remember me when I came back in after losing the ability to walk. Fast forward 6 months and he puts out a video that he was suffering from a “non life threatening illness” and had to retire to deal with it. He was speaking eloquently and clearly again like his normal self and it made me immediately curious if he was hooked on pills or alcohol and spent the last few months in rehab. If that was true and he was drunk or on drugs when he told me to get the procedure that literally every other specialist has told me didn’t make any sense for my case- would that be considered malpractice and if so what should I do to proceed with engaging that? At this point I don’t even think he was lucid enough to recognize what he did to me and certainly has to knowledge of it today. Thank you for any help - guy who’s pissed he’s in a wheelchair.
