Dealership Never Transferred Vehicle Title In My Name Even 9 Months After Purchase.

I purchased a vehicle from a small dealership in the fall of 2023. I was staying in another state after buying the car and wondered why the title was never sent to my main address. Messaged and called the dealership in February and got no response. I came back to my home state recently and two days ago I went to the DMV to see if i can get a the title for the car and they informed me that the car does not even belong to me because the dealership never transferred the title into my name. I paid with physical cash for the car in full when i bought the car and i have all of the receipts and paperwork that me and the dealership signed.
what legal actions should i take? i really dont have much money but I talked with an attorney and he said i could get the full amount i paid for the car back. Im trying to get some sort of restitution for this because they hid a lot of issues with the car and replaced the computer in it with the wrong computer so its really causing issues for the car. Basically, if the car had no issues then i wouldnt have as big of an issue with this dealership. I dont think i can do much that they sold me a bad car, thats just my motivation to go after them, but i can definitely get them for not delivering the title, let alone not even putting it in my name. If i never noticed, id literally never get the title and if i got pulled over or in an accident, that would have been really bad.
one issue is that the place i bought the car at closed permanently. the business still exists according to the Better Business Bureau and Sunbiz and the location was moved to a house address instead of a dealership and that is the only location on file for this business.
my question is, should i even get an attorney for this case if multiple attorneys told me that it would be such an easy case to win? And, Ive been paying for insurance on this car for the past 9 months even though I do not own it, the dealership still does. I looked at the vehicle history and the title was last transferred 4 months before i bought the car so i think that means the dealership still owns it. im not going to contact the dealership because a paralegal told me not to and because im afraid theyll close what's left of their business as soon as they realize they screwed up.
I am located in the United States
