Child Support While In Prison

My ex will likely be heading to prison. When he does, his social security disability will end and I will not receive child support for the 2 kids I have 100% custody of, which will be a huge blow. I’m trying to be proactive on this topic.

I live in Pennsylvania (he’s in Alabama) and it says if he has investments or other income I can get support from those. Would that include his retirement if he has any left?

Or does the support just continue to accrue and he will owe me all the money when he is released?

He is remarried, lives in an $800k house and his step kids go to private school, but I’m told they’re broke and can’t pay child support up front before he goes. I don’t think I can go after his wife for child support, right?
