Carvana Nightmare — Just Bought A $30k Truck And It’s Already In The Shop With Major Issues

Hey all, looking for advice or anyone who’s dealt with something like this before.

I just bought a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn from Carvana on October 23rd — less than two weeks ago — for just over $30,000. Within days of delivery, the truck started having serious mechanical problems. It was delivered to a repair shop on 10/29, and I haven’t had it since.

Here’s what’s wrong with it so far (all confirmed by the shop): • Ball joints need replacement • Shocks are blown • Track arms are bad • Brakes (pads and rotors) need to be replaced • Rear differential is shot • Tires are completely unsafe and need replacing

Basically, this vehicle should have never passed inspection or been sold in “good condition.”

It’s now been five days since it was dropped off, and I’ve gotten nowhere. Carvana keeps sending me to their third-party warranty company, who wants to use used tires and parts to fix it. Meanwhile, Carvana refuses to take ownership or even escalate the issue.

To make it worse, they only allow a 10-day rental, but it took them four days just to file the claim — meaning by the time anything gets approved, I’ll be out of a rental and still without a truck.

I’ve called, emailed, chatted — I keep getting passed around in circles. No one at Carvana is helping or moving this along. For a $30k “certified” vehicle, this is absolutely ridiculous.

Has anyone dealt with something similar and successfully gotten Carvana to take responsibility? I’m in Massachusetts, so I’m also wondering if this falls under the Massachusetts Lemon Law or consumer protection since it’s been less than 10 days since it went to the shop.

Any advice or escalation tips would be massively appreciated.
