Airline Let Me Fly To A Destination Without Confirming My Layover Ticket
Location: California
Hello, recently traveled to Mexico City from California using Volaris Airlines. I bought my round trip ticket and then changed my return flight. They let me on the flight from MEX to Denver, but when I got to Denver I went to get the layover ticket and was told Volaris never confirmed or bought the ticket for my frontier flight out of Denver to LAX. I went to the Volaris help desk and they told me that they weren’t supposed to let me fly out of MEX. I was told at both airlines I needed to purchase another ticket. Bought another ticket to get back and was delayed getting back affecting my work. Volaris charged me for my tickets and never notified me of my layover ticket not being confirmed. Caused quite a bit of emotional distress and financial burden. Have had little correspondence over about 1 and half months, was offered a credit for their airlines, told them no I want a refund on my card, then was shoved off and told is been escalated and they have no time frame of when I’d hear back from them. Is there any legal action to be taken against Volaris?
