Can I Sue A Child’s Parents For Their Child Bullying And Harassing My Daughter

Card image cap

I’m going to try to keep this short.

My daughter (14F) is consistantly bullied by Shannon (13F) day to day with threatening phone calls off “no caller ID” and texting her continuously calling her names and telling her to kill herself (my daughter has depression so this is an extremely insensitive thing to say to her, and in fact life threatening I believe in her case)

I contacted Shannon’s parents multiple times about this pressing issue with even screen shots from my daughters phone as proof. In return I would get “we will talk to her”.

Not even an hour after, my daughter got another phone call from Shannon saying “You snitched to your mom, what a ***ing s*t” where I texted her mom again, who said “She probably called to apologize, since I told her that’s what she needed to do” to which I told her what Shannon had told her, which was obviously far from an apology. To which she once again said “we will talk to her”

The school is hopeless. Clearly the bully’s parents are useless. I’m at a loss. And worried about my daughter! The only thing I can think of that’s left to do, is to put it in the hands of the legal system.

Is this pointless as well? Thoughts?
