Ca Service Animal Bit Me
Hi,
I work in a hotel in California. This person comes and stays at our hotel every year for an entire week. Last year this person's service animal bit me. An incident report as filled out. Every year they are required to fill our paperwork asking what the animal is trained to perform. Last year she left it blank. This year she stated "oh, well she's still in training, but her training is to make sure I don't get up to quickly if I fall down"
Should I file a police report? They are here for another 4 days. It is a misdemeanor in California to misrepresent a service animal. Can my employer retaliate against me for filing this police report?
It's a timeshare and this person is one of 800 owners of this property. Can they even be restricted from bringing their pets, requiring all animals to be service animals?
