A Guy That I Broke Up With Shattered My Guestroom Window And Stole An Expensive Package Off Of My Porch. What Can I Do If I Don't Have Video/photo Evidence But A Witness Who Saw Everything?
I was dating this guy, and we broke up in February. In March he shattered my guestroom window and stole an expensive package off of my porch. I don't have photo/video proof that he did any of this, but his best friend confessed to me through text, that he was the one who shattered the window and stole my packages. His best friend also said the only reason they told me was because they "fell out" and she felt obligated to let me know what he did so I could hold him accountable. If I don't have any proof except the confession from his ex-best friend will this hold up in court if I were to sue him for the cost of my window and my stolen packages? I filed a police report about the packages when they went missing and I mentioned the broken window, but I don't know if they included that part in their report. This is in Texas btw.
