Details

From Newark, New Jersey. Boarded Lusitania as 2nd class with his parents Walter Sr and Jeanette (nee Moore). On May 7, 1915 Lusitania was struck by a torpedo from a German U-boat in the Mid-Atlantic ocean. Jeanette survived the sinking but her husband and infant son perished. Both of their bodies were recovered.


The Story

1. The family was British by nationality
2. Walter Sr and his infant son Walter Jr were unconscious when they were in the water and placed with the dead.
