The Story
Jackie was an avid lover of sports during her early life and had played softball, basketball, and volleyball. As the years passed we found that Jackie’s true passion was her love for animals. Jackie would go out of her way to help if she knew there was an animal in trouble or hurt. She loved spending time with her friends and was constantly on the go. More than anything, Jackie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially playing with her two nieces Addison (5) and Leighton (4). As described by many of Jackie’s closest friends over the last 24 years of her life, Jackie was truly a bleeding heart. She would give the shirt off of her back and would do anything to help another person out. Her outgoing personality and willing to be-friend anyone, created the beautiful person we all knew and loved. Jackie will be missed dearly by her friends and family left here on Earth, but will always be watching over and protecting us. She would not want us to mourn her death, but celebrate her life. In order to honor that wish for Jackie, the family will be having a private gathering in celebration of her life.
Jackie is survived by her parents Mike and Duanna Hepworth of Albers, IL, her sister Mindy McCallister of Albers, IL, her nieces Addison and Leighton McCallister, her grandfather, John Hepworth of New Baden, IL, and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Jackie was preceded in death by her sister, Christina Hepworth, her uncle, Todd Hepworth, grandfather, Duane Johnson, and grandmothers, Vera K. Hepworth and Nellie Johnson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Belleville Humane Society and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Jackie’s honor.
