Armand and his family went into hiding. The family believed only men were targeted for the roundups in 1941. Armand was arrested with his mother and siblings Samuel (9) Anna (7) Rebecca (6) and Marguerite (2) *no photograph remains* and deported on convoy 20 on August 17, 1942. Murdered in the gas chamber a couple days later.
