Boarded Empress of Ireland with her mother Mandi as 3rd class on May 28, 1914, the father Juha remained in Montreal. On May 29th the Empress of Ireland collided with SS Storsad in middle of a fog at Saint lawrence river and sank at 2:00 A.M.
