From Leeds, England-emigrated to Yonkers,New York in 1914. Boarded Lusitania as 2nd class with her mother Lydia to visit an ill relative in England. On May 7, 1915 the huge liner was struck by a torpedo from a German U-boat in the Mid-Atlantic ocean. Both Eva and her mother perished in the sinking. Only Eva's body was recovered.
