Paul W. Moore, 75, went to meet his Heavenly Father on June 9, 2018, after battling a host of illnesses.

He was born on January 6, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Montie Paul Moore and Lucille Thompson Moore. Paul is preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Phil.

Paul attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he met his beloved wife of 52 years, Marilyn White Moore, on a blind date. They married on Sept. 11, 1965 and moved to Houston in 1967. Paul worked for 34 years in the data communications industry in both Houston and Atlanta, Georgia. After retirement, he enjoyed playing countless rounds of golf with his sons and friends, as well as watching Texas Longhorns football. Paul’s greatest joy was found in spending time cheering on his grandchildren in their various activities.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 1 pm at Woodlands Church Chapel-Woodlands Campus (One Fellowship Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77384). The family welcomes guests to attend a visitation from 12-1 pm on Wednesday, also at Woodlands Church Chapel. Burial will follow on Thursday at the family’s cemetery in Hamilton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made in Paul’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org), or another charity of your choice.
