The Story
Jan Mims was born in Flandreau, South Dakota, May 21st 1936 and settled in Texas where she lived most of her life. With a passion for horses, dogs, slot machines and black coffee, Jan definitely had her share of adventures during her lifetime. A bona fide card player, Jan was untouchable at Rummy. During the 2000's she was often spotted driving down FM 1488 with 3 large Weimaraners sticking out of the sunroof! Jan and Tommy founded Dream Catcher Farms where they created so many wonderful memories with family and friends.
Janet Rae Mims is survived by her partner Tommy Davidson; her children, Trisha Hurley, Susan Karvelis and Robert Martinez along with their spouses, Chris Hurley and Kris Bodee Martinez; grandchildren Kristin Angulo Hurley, grandson-in-law Luis Angulo; Cary Castille, grand-daughter-in-law Amy Castille, Andrew Karvelis, Megan Martinez, Max Martinez; and 2 great-granchildren Amelie Angulo Hurley and Clyde Castille.
We invite you to share thoughts, stories, pictures and or songs for Jan here on Beautiful Tribute.
