Reliable Books On Theravada In The Chinese Language

Card image cap

Hey everyone!

I'd like to give a book to a friend to read on Theravada, but it's going to have to be in Mandarin. I want something that accurately represents the Theravada tradition, rather than a Mahayana or Vajrayana book on the Theravada that may have a bit of an agenda. I suppose a compromise might be a Thich Nhat Hanh book that is beginner friendly, as even though he is technically not Theravada he doesn't seem like the type to greatly distort the teachings. Something less complicated is definitely preferable as this person does not have a great deal of Buddhist understanding and is working with only a culturally Chinese understanding of folk Buddhism.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, thank you!
