What Can Be Done?!

Ok…

I own a gardening company and had a guy working for me until last November when I fired him as I didn’t have the work to keep him on.

After firing him he reported me to the work inspector and tried to get me in trouble for unfair dismissal. Even through he had months of verbal notice and written. He reported that he hadn’t received pay, I had ripped him off etc etc.

I was summoned in and they made me produce all pay slips and transfer as proof… obviously everything was above board with that and they just made me pay his outstanding holiday pay. No problem. Normal.

Now over the time he was working with me I had given him access to the business fb and insta pages with my password and email. I totally forgot about that.

Around December (after being fired) he logged onto my Facebook account, changed all my profile and deleted 10 years of work photos and uploads.

Luckily I had a back up and painstakingly reuploaded everything with watermarks.

Shortly after that event I got word he had started his own company locally. When checking his page out of curiosity. I see all my photos of my work uploaded on his page.

I went straight to Facebook to report and a few days later they asked for the link. I gave them links to both of our pages and albums and they replied I would need to link them to each photos - mine and his copy. Well over 100 photos.

I told them it was hundred + of photos… gave them links to the albums and they never replied. I made another report… nothing.

I told Facebook I would take legal action as this was having a direct impact on my earnings and business…. Nothing.

Now I’m losing business and he is growing off the back of my work.

Any legal advice on this? I briefly spoke with my lawyer and she said to threaten FB with legal action but it seems they aren’t worried at all! Very frustrating indeed.
