Water Issues With Our Apartment Complex
Location: American Fork, Utah
My wife and I live in a complex with a number of buildings. For the last 3ish months, the water pressure in our unit is been sporatic, and almost non-existent when it's really bad. We've spoken to the leasing office about it and they've acknowledged that they're aware of a similar issue in multiple buildings, but so far we haven't seen any real effort to fix it.
I'm wondering if there's some kind of legal resource or anything we can do to put more pressure on the owners to get this problem fixed? We think it's completely unacceptable to be paying full rent and water costs in our unit and not even being able to shower when we want, do the dishes, do laundry, etc.
The shower is down to a trickle, our dishes don't get cleaned in the dishwasher, it takes forever to do laundry, and the sinks barely spit out anything. It makes living and getting things done difficult.
I feel like I've given the complex a good amount of time to try to fix this, and they just keep stringing us along. Any resources or advice would be appreciated.
