Unfair Move Out Charges

Hello I was wondering if I can get some insight. I moved out of my apartment 2/20 due to not wanting to renew because of high rent and poor maintenance people. 6 days later I get an email stating the move out charges of of the apartment was left in and it was sent to a 3rd party deb collector. It was close to $2,500 and majority of it was stating the flooring needed to be replaced and had 48 months loss of life for example. I had called that day and the person I talked to said it was normal to get that and everyone gets one when leaving the complex I lived in. If I didn’t hear anything by the end of the week to call. So when I called that Monday the following week I got the name of a different person I spoke to and was told to send the proof on what we left the apartment in and why there was furniture left. I put in a through email that took me a few days to write owning up to the oven deep cleaning and blinds my dog caused damaged from sticking head in it. I sent that email 2 days ago and yesterday they called my husband instead of me (never got a missed call or anything) saying the charges were as is. After speaking to a family member who is a land lord to multiple different properties said it’s wrong for them to do that and when I sent him my email and proof he was baffled on how they played things. He adviced me to call our complex and see if they can resolve it before it’s hits our credit. When I contacted them the assistant manager was saying she did the walk through and everything was needing to be replaced and when I asked multiple times for the proof she was beating around the bush. So when I got hot with her she said she would send the photos. When I received the photos yesterday you can tell it was normal wear and tear from having a family of 3 and a dog living there. Also for the walls they stated needing to be fixed when 2 months into our tenancy we discovered a termite infestation and they sent our their pest control company they contract in to put 4 holes in the wall to put foam in. I have proof of termites and how it damaged my son’s crib and mattress. I just want to know how to go about calling the credit company back and stating that is normal wear in tear in the law statue in my state. Also when speaking to assistant property manger she said that there was nothing she can do on her end because it’s the policy on how they do things. When you look at reviews they have done this to multiple people. Since we moved in at the end of the month a year prior we didn’t pay a security deposit just a prorated rent for that month and a non refundable fee of $250. I’ve had my own place since I was 19 and never had anything life this happening. Thank you to anyone who has read this and can give me advice.
