Troubling Signs At Workplace, Violation Of Fair Labor Standards Act.

Card image cap

I (M28) am working at a small business in Texas, its been 4 months and we had a Mandatory team meeting. Through whatsapp i messaged my supervisor for clarity since it was my day off, "Is the meeting today mandatory or optional?

Supervisor: Mandatory

Me: so i will be paid for my time?

S: You will not be paid, but the meeting is mandatory. If you do not show up it will be a write up

Me: Im not gonna argue but that violates the Fair Labor Standards Act, which opens up alot of legal issues.

S:Idk what to tell you, you complain about everything knowing that this is your job . If you feel like you are not able to handle it then find a new one . This is your job.

What should i do, aside find a new job lol, i have this as a screenshot. Appreciate any and all advice!
