Spouse Was Assaulted At Work, Anything To Do?

My spouse was at work when she was assaulted by another employee. The employee approached her saying that they wanted to fight and proceeded to do some kind of martial arts move which ended with my spouse on the ground, hitting her head. The employee was “suspended” but showed back up on the premises afterwards begging my spouse not to press charges and saying she would buy her items, give her money etc. My spouse was then brought to the emergency department by her coworkers to get checked out and had to undergo a head CT. She’s out of work now for recovery but also having fears about returning. The employee has not been fired to our knowledge.
There were no police called at the time. She did file an incident report. Is there any legal recourse here?
