So yesterday school called me to have a last minute meeting because my son who has autism and ADHD and is in a self contained classroom was DUCT TAPED to his chair by his regular teacher. Wrist taped together, waist taped to chair and legs taped to chair. The school reassured me that she's fired and he will be safe from now on. I haven't signed anything and i made it clear I want to press charges. This happened Friday 5/3/24 and they just told me yesterday 5/8/24. Im still waiting for the officer to contact me but I want to know what are my options here? Im in Texas and will absolutely fight for my kid. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
