Silencing Of Possible Infestation Of Scabies

Hey guys, first some context: I work with young children (some pronouns have been changed for privacy) in the USA and I need to know what can be done here. There was a recent outbreak of scabies where I work and I am concerned that it is not being handled appropriately. I believe my boss, who will be called Ass Hat (AH), is trying to downplay the situation and silence workers who are asking valid and reasonable questions. For added context of Ass Hat, he has previously dress coded people for wearing the wrong color pants, and wearing T-shirts that aren't "kid cartoon friendly", such as dolphins all over a shirt, and oogaling a coworker.

This all started about an hour after I got off of work. I received a message that there was an outbreak of scabies from AH to the work group chat. Concerned, my coworkers and I started asking questions about proper sanitization and talking about how genuinely concerned we are about possibly spreading this to loved ones and others in the community. We were told that the building would be sanitized over night and that the facility would continue to be open the following day. After doing some research, I have found that the CDC recommends that items exposed to a person with the scabies for three days prior to the treatment should be dry cleaned, laundered, or disinfested by storing in a closed plastic bag for anywhere from several days to a week. Knowing this, I and my coworkers continued to voice our concerns. This was met by more vague and dismissive answers. AH only responded to the concerns and questions after a coworker mentioned that any contagious diseases need to be covered by worker's compensation and how it would be risky to continue services the following day financially for a company. HIs response was condescending and dismissive "Everyone the clinic is getting professionally cleaned. Let's put this conversation to rest." I personally believe that he is having the normal cleaning crew come in and using that as his definition of "professional" as he never mentioned a company, even after being asked. After being asked for more information, AH mentioned the infested person's full name in the group chat, which we have a policy against. In the same message, AH said "Remember everyone, we need to respect client confidentiality and dignity. You may message me privately if you wish." After revealing this person, AH said "All of you have been around them." One of my coworkers then mentioned the policy, which he ignored. It was at this point where I messaged AH personally to request more information. His response was basically how scabies are transmitted and how rare it is for people to get scabies through surfaces like table and chairs. After asking for more clarification, he proceeded to leave me on read. Four messages after being called out, he removed 3 of the coworkers from the group chat after continuing to ask valid questions, one of which was the person who called him out for using the client's name. As far as I know, none of them have been fired as of this moment.

So, what can I do?
