Sexual Harassment At Job

Card image cap

Location: Alabama

I (26 F)want to know if this is an actual case worth my time.

So, at my place of work (I am a waitress) our restaurant manager (52 M) had a little crush on my boyfriend(26 M)-who also worked as a waiter at same store. When we first started working there, the manager pulled me into the office to ask me if my boyfriend was fully straight or bisexual. That is a super odd question coming from manager.

He stayed at this job for about a year and a half before quitting for another job. During his time as a manager, he would belittle his staff, throw things at them, and yell in the dining room at us if he didn’t like anything we did.

The day after he left, a group of servers brought me to the side to ask me something that the manager told everyone. He told a group of people- the general manager was in that group- that he came over to mine and my boyfriends apartment to drop some clothes off, and I was trying to get him to have a threesome while my boyfriend was sitting naked on the couch. I. was. appalled. I asked the managers about this is they LITERALLY were all like “yeah he brought us in and told us. he told us not to tell yall”

He did a lot of other stuff to many employees that are minors, but they don’t want to speak up about it.

I emailed HR about this on August 29th, 2025 and sent them a super long email that looked exactly like this. They responded a day later telling me they will send it to my field HR and to corporate. A month later, I hear nothing. I do a follow up email, and they responded a week later that said: “i have just notified your field HR. He is in meetings all week, but he will be in contact after.” That was two weeks ago. I sent ANOTHER email and couple days ago, but no response.

Would this be considered sexual harassment and/ or defamation? I have never had this happen before and I am not sure how describe this incident.
