Selling Concert Ticket That I Did Not Pay For

Card image cap

Hello all,

I am from Canada and last year I had gotten the Taylor Swift Eras Tour ticket draw. I asked around online if anyone is interested in me purchasing a ticket for them, thinking I could charge up the ticket by maybe $50. Then these ladies from United States reached out to offer to buy three tickets off their credit card, where they will take 2 and I will get to keep the third one. These tickets added up to around $3000 CAD in total. Since I am not a huge Taylor Swift fan, I have considered selling these tickets, but the ladies who bought the tickets did not really want me to do so. They said if I wanted to sell my ticket, I should give the ticket back to them and they will sell it and keep the entire profit.

Now I have looked at my schedule more in detail, I don't think I can even go to the concert because how exams stack up in my school during November. So I was wondering if they could sue me or get me in trouble if I choose to sell my ticket anyways.

For reference, all three tickets were bought on my Ticketmaster account with their credit card. Two of the three ticket were already transferred to their Ticketmaster account as soon as it was bought. My ticket still remains on my account.

Thank you for any advice!!!
