Quitting A New Job Without Notice- This Is A Crime?
I live in Minnesota. Lost my job two months ago due to the business shutting down. I recently applied to two jobs. One was my dream job, one was not. Dream job had a longer hiring process, and in the meantime started at Not-Great job. I get through literally one orientation day and Dream job calls, I’ve got the job.
So I just stopped going in to Not Great Job. Maybe that’s not good practice, but I know it’s not illegal. Until a week later, when Not Great Job emails me and says that they are going to sue for “perjury” and “lying about my intentions”. This doesn’t hold up, right?
