Quit A Job By Emailing My Ceo A Paragraph & Months Later I’m Finding Out They Said I Was Terminated For Not Following Policy

So this was my 2nd to last job I had, my most recent I was laid off due to lack of work and now I’m trying to file for unemployment.

I got a letter in the mail from the department of labor saying that my 2nd to last job discharged me for not following policy. wtf?

I have screenshots of the email I sent the CEO telling him my thoughts on the company and how badly it is for the employees, I made sure to write “I quit” in the email. Turns out the CEO called my manager and it started a whole thing which I wasn’t there for because I left answer sending the email. Later that night I get a voicemail from my manager just saying “just wanted to let you know that you’re terminated immediately”, I sent him a text after saying the email quite literally says “I quit” in it, he also knew I put in my 2 weeks 13 days before.

I feel like lying about the reason someone exits a company can’t be legal, and now I might not receive benefits until I figure this out.

It’s a multi billion dollar corporation by the way.

Can I sue for this?
