Parent Stole $14,000 College Fund
Hello all, about five years ago, I was given $14,000 from a wealthy relative because they found out my siblings and I did not have any money saved for college. At the time, I was a minor and still had my parents on my bank account. My parent stole that amount and used it over the course of a few years to spend on alcohol and drugs. I didn’t realize there was anything I could do at the time because I was a minor and was in a very abusive environment.
My mother will inherit a large amount of money soon and I was wondering if there is any way to get legal recourse from the combined theft of over $42,000 that she has committed against my siblings and I.
