Obtained Poa The Same Day My Mom Died Now It Is Expired What To Do?

Location: Saint Joseph County, Indiana, USA. My mother just passed away yesterday on May 9. I am her son. I obtained power of attorney the same day she died literally hours before. She had stage four lung cancer that spread to stomach and brain. I had access to herbank account and regrettably, I did not withdraw any funds. Basically my family convinced me that I should wait until my brother who is in the Marine Corps obtain power of attorney with me. However, yesterday, my mom was showing signs that she’s getting ready to die so acting on her behalf. I went ahead and obtained power of attorney by myself. However, my family told me I should run decisions by my brother. He told me I should not withdraw all the funds. At the bank, they said in the event of her passing, I would be able to obtain a small estate affidavit that wouldn’t allow me to obtain the funds, but potentially it would go to probate court. Everything happened so fast and I was so confused on what to really do but now that she’s gone, I legally cannot withdraw funds or act on her behalf. I’m so mad at myself because I feel like I gave in to my family’s request. When in reality I should’ve just did what was best for my mom. My brother is not even here yet. I had to watch my mom die in front of my face. My question is, what should I do? Her cremation costs and other related costs are now here so fast. I’m so saddened at this and upset.
