Notice To Vacate Lease Before Term

Card image cap

Hello all I have been leasing an apartment for a year and 3 months. After our first year we signed a 6 month lease planning on buying a house in the near future. More recently we have been receiving complaints from the office about our dogs “disrupting peace” even after I was assured dogs would not be an issue in an upstairs apartment. Besides the fact I went ahead and purchased a house before the end of my term not realizing how fast the process would be. In my lease terms it states I have to give them a 60 day notice before moving out. Also states I would be liable for a reletting charge.

(1) fail to give written move-out notice as required in paragraph 45 (Move-Out Notice) or any other applicable law; or (2) move out without paying rent in full for the entire lease term or renewal period; or (3) move out at our demand because of your default; or (4) are judicially evicted.

I am just wondering if a 30 day notice would be sufficient as if I give a 60 day notice it will run until the end of the lease anyways. Which I don’t want to pay for an expensive lease where I wont be living and also pay for mortgage on top of that.

TLDR: Moving out early, wondering if 30 day notice would be sufficient as 60 day notice is required.
